Claire
is dressed for a stroll in the park in her white batiste
gown. The 6-gored skirt features a
"window-pane" pattern created with lace
insertion, which was popular during the early 1900's. This
doll measures 5 1/2" tall without hat, and is
created from a mold by Gina Bellous. She wears a
delicate gold bracelet and ring, set with tiny pearl
beads, and an elaborate hat, trimmed with silk roses,
ribbons, feathers, and pearl stems |

The
six gores in the skirt are joined by narrow strips of
French lace, and each gore is created in three sections,
creating the "window-pane" effect. This
feature is stitched, not glued, allowing for the fabric
behind the lace to be removed. |
